Independent Retailer Month is a global “Shop Local” campaign that runs throughout July and headed up by BIRA – The British Independent Retailers Association - The campaign highlights the important role smaller, local, independent retailers play in the communities they serve, the local economy they contribute to, and in the retail sector as a whole. With so much media attention and debate around the state of the high street and small business, the Independent Retailer Month aims to create an environment of support and collaboration to give smaller retail businesses something to celebrate.
